About Us
Welcome to Crossroads Care Bexley We are a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. We are affiliated to the Crossroads Association and come under their framework of policies and procedures, although we are independent with our own Board of Trustee Directors. Our aims and objectives are to support people with care needs and their carers in their home or on outside activities. We provide a range of support services to enable the carer to have a break from their caring responsibilities whilst supporting the person with care needs in their independence, choice and control over the services they require. We are registered,regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission whose role is to promote improvement in social care and to ensure standards are met in key areas. Our quality assurance standards include Investors in People and Level3 CROQUET (taken from PQASSO) The Board of Trustees have a wealth of experience and knowledge from the private,public and charity sector and are responsibile for setting the strategic direction of the organisation. The team comprises of a Chief Executive, Care Manager ,Demential Manager,Independent Living Team Leader, eight senior Care Support Workers, two Administrative Assistants and 78 front line community based care staff. We deliver over 1200 direct support hours per week to our customers. We work closely with our statutory and voluntary sector partners including the Carers Services Team to ensure carers are made aware of the Carers Assessment which determines whether they are eligible for a carers service from the local authority. Children and Young Peoples Services We were recently sucessful in a partnership tender bid with Carers Support Bexley to provide support in the home or in the community for children/young people in Bexley. This service is managed by the Disabled Children's Service and referrals can be made through the Disabled Children’s Service or ourselves. A social worker from the team will contact the family directly to assess your child’s need and subject to meeting their eligibility criteria will contact us to see if we are able to provide support to you. We will then contact you directly to arrange a mutually convenient time for a member of the senior team to complete a holistic assessment to ensure that we are able to support the you in the most appropriate way.
