CARE SUPPORT WORKERS

As a leading social care provider we are seeking reliable, committed people to support Carers of Adults and Children with disabilities in the borough of Bexley. You will be providing support to people with a diverse range of care needs, delivering a high quality service of personal, practical and emotional support, within the family home or on outside activities. Our aim is to give Carers a break from their caring responsibilities, which enables them to have time out to be themselves whilst promoting the self-determination, choice, and well being of the person with care needs.

In return we offer a competitive hourly rate, a comprehensive Skills for Care induction programme and an opportunity to attain a formal NVQ Level 2 care qualification.

Trustees

We are seeking interested and committed people to join our Board of Trustees to help us achieve our aims and objectives. We are particularly interested in applicants with the following backgrounds/experience:

  • Strategic Finance
  • Media
  • Social Care/Health
  • Service Users
  • Older People
  • Legal
  • Business Project Planning

The Role:

  • Contribute to the development of services provided by Bexley Crossroads.
  • Provide overall governance of all of the charity's activities to ensure its financial stability.
  • Attend and participate actively in Board meetings and sub-committees.

The Candidates

  • Commitment to the ethos, values and work of Bexley Crossroads and empathy with the issues faced by Carers.

The attributes to make a strong overall contribution to the work of the Board. The role of a Trustee is voluntary and therefore unpaid, but travel and other expenses will be reimbursed. Bexley Crossroads particularly welcomes applications from disabled people and people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
